Dermascan
Sviluppo di un sistema per il monitoraggio di patologie della pelle basato su tecnologie di scansione 3D ed algoritmi di intelligenza artificiale
The objectives of the DERMASCAN project are:
Development of a 3D photogrammetric scanning system for dermatology, enabling rapid acquisition and 3D reconstruction of the patient’s skin. Development of an AI-based diagnostic platform for the automatic identification, mapping, and longitudinal monitoring of nevi and skin lesions, with a focus on melanoma prevention and early diagnosis.
Support dermatologists in the prevention and early diagnosis of skin cancer through a non-invasive, accurate, and time-efficient tool.
Develop a 3D dermatological digital record that enables detailed localization and monitoring of nevi and lesions over time. Enable intelligent monitoring of skin pathologies by automating repetitive clinical tasks while preserving the clinician’s final diagnostic role.
Specifically, the DERMASCAN project aims to: In terms of economic and organizational sustainability, the DERMASCAN project aims to reduce examination times, increase patient throughput, lower the cost of advanced dermatological imaging, and enable scalable adoption through a cloud-based diagnostic platform.
